Our Mission

Camden Healthy Start is dedicated to reducing infant mortality and improving the health of families in Camden, New Jersey. Through home visiting, health education and community advocacy, we empower families during one of the most critical periods of their lives.

As a program of The Cooperative, we bring together community resources, healthcare providers and family support specialists to create a network of care for Camden’s most vulnerable families.

Camden Healthy Start is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and is one of more than 100 federally funded Healthy Start programs across the United States.

Our Impact

Since 1997, Camden Healthy Start has served thousands of families throughout Camden. Our team of Family Health Advocates, health educators and case managers work alongside families from pregnancy through their child’s first birthday, providing the support and resources they need to thrive.
