Every May, beginning on Mother's Day, we observe National Women's Health Week (May 10-16). This observance highlights women's health conditions and priorities and encourages women of all ages to prioritize their physical, mental and emotional well-being. This includes seeking medical help when you need it, but it also involves engaging in preventive care to keep you healthy, like scheduling checkups, examinations, vaccinations, living a healthy lifestyle and more. Around 15% of women over the age of 18 are in poor health.Women’s Health Week also acts as an opportunity to educate women on the most common risks to their health, the symptoms, the warning signs and when they should seek medical attention, so they know when something is out of the ordinary. The theme of this year's National Women's Health Week is: 'Prevention, Innovation and Impact: A New Era in Women’s Health.'The theme reflects an ongoing commitment to proactive, science-based, and coordinated care and highlights the importance of moving beyond fragmented care to focus on prevention, early detection and better health outcomes. It also emphasizes translating new scientific discoveries into practical steps that women and health care providers can use every day.🌐Learn more about National Women's Health Week ➡️ https://womenshealth.gov/nwhw.#CamdenHealthyStart #NationalWomensHealthWeek #NWHW #WomensHealth #HealthyWomen ...
