Here at The Cooperative, we're committed to supporting healthcare environments where we can confront and address institutional racism and implicit bias.🎥That's why our Clinical & Professional Education team was proud to host a screening of the documentary, 'Everybody's Work: Healing What Hurts Us All.'This documentary is the second film of SHIFT, a community for nurses to listen, read, laugh, cry, think and talk about big issues — together. Their hope is that it encourages, motivates, and inspires this generation of nurses to be advocates for health equity — and see their potential as leaders in the community.We were grateful to welcome nurses and healthcare professionals from across New Jersey to this screening and an engaging post-documentary conversation. Our Teen Talk New Jersey team is so proud of some recent gatherings with South Jersey youth ... and wanted to share some memories from these events.The Teen Talk New Jersey team hosted workshops in Camden, Vineland and Galloway Township - all designed to promote positive youth development and personal responsibility for those ages 14-19. The goal was to provide engaging, educational experiences that focus on healthy relationships, decision-making, physical health and leadership skills. More than 70 youth attend these workshops!The series culminated with a retreat at Dave & Buster's, featuring a mix of engaging activities and speakers - including words of wisdom from a career advisor and some remarks from Anthony Clemons, a Grammy-nominated artist and songwriter, who shared his story of hard work and dedication. The retreat concluded with some fun time at Dave & Buster's!Thanks to all who participated!
