What do we want to accomplish?HS_finalcmyk_0915

Camden Healthy Start strives to reduce infant mortality, improves birth outcomes and impacts the quality of life for families in Camden by providing education, outreach and supportive services. Our service philosophy integrates quality customer service that is culturally sensitive, reliable and consistent.  At Camden Healthy Start, we want to equip Camden residents with full knowledge of referral sources that will help them make meaningful, life choices that positively impact their lives.

The CHS approach begins with building relationships with community providers and ends with delivery of client focused services.

As a result of our efforts, we expect to see the following benefits for participants, families and staff:

  • Participants will demonstrate the ability to strengthen their family’s resilience;
  • Families will experience more positive birth outcomes; and
  • Staff will be more visible to the community, sustain partnerships with community providers, and experience an increase in the number of referrals to CHS.

Evidence supporting the success of CHS will be available through the use of continuous quality improvement, accurate collection and reporting of program data, and dissemination of the data to community residents and providers.  It is important to work on this now because Camden lives matter.
