Several Camden Healthy Start (CHS) moms received some much-needed pampering and a boost of confidence thanks to Sephora. On October 1, the beauty retailer launched “Classes for Confidence”, a program designed to help women who are re-entering the workforce do so with an added confidence boost. CHS mom Jessica Love was among those who attended the class at Sephora in Deptford.
“I loved it. I have four babies at home and I never get a chance to take care of myself,” says Love.
Love, a single mother with two sets of twins, is preparing to enter the workforce. She and other participants learned tips for creating a natural and professional look for job interviews and going back to work. The women received hands-on instruction and several products so they can recreate their looks at home.
“It made me feel beautiful. I felt like super mom. I left the class with confidence,” says Love.
“Classes for Confidence” is part of Sephora’s nationwide social impact initiative called Sephora Stands. The program aims to reach 2,000 women by the end of this year. CHS staff are always on the lookout for opportunities to support clients in providing a healthy and stable environment and this includes opportunities for successful employment.
